    As an aspiring academic mathematician I was lucky enough to study it at school when i was 15, as part of the A level maths syllabus. If undergraduates are confused by it now, that's possibly because they weren't as lucky.

  • @denismatt sides of the small triangle are equal to r, so is the height of the big triangle, the sides of the bigger triangle are equal to the radius of a bigger disc of radius r+x.
