At the moment, I'm writing on a work to Stanley Kubrick and nothing boots my imagination more than Strauss's music. (Both, if you know what I mean).

Imagine creating a huge Flasmob on an busy intersection (important which quarter of the city!) where this tune is played simultaniously and super loud through the windows of the flats around and everyone joins in this waltzer..fly away for ten minutes. :D found a new project! step one: learn dancing :)

I personally don't get why the Germans try to ignore or forget about it. They should embrace their past and learn from it.

Such a shame that the German speaking cultural world is overshadowed by WWII, even the comments here are about Hitler. While this is such a happy beautiful piece of music...

War der Badenweiler oder ursprüngliche Badonviller Marsch...der durfte ab dem 17. Mai 1939 sogar nur in Anwesenheit des Führers gespielt werden.

It was the Badenweiler or formerly known as Badonviller March...it was only allowed to play him in presence of the Fuhrer.

Ja grammatikalisch falsch, aber ich denke wir beide haben verstanden, was er/sie gemeint hat.
