===================
The rebirth Of a Forgotten Maul =

NoNameMagee Picked up this thunder Maul from a local Airsoft dealer's Boneyard
the external moldings are immaculate (assuming the previous owner pulled the body and played the m4).
Chronoed at 140 FSP @ 18 RPS.
pulled it apart and Found a Bunch of issues, It was simply WORE out.
replaced Nylon with Stainless steel bushings added a ARS mask Piston head, Systema Cylinder head, Guarder Tappet, PDI 130% Pro Spring, TM nozzel & spring guide.
the stock Cylinder inner plating was worn completely away, the entire length of the piston path, I replaced it with a ported Dboys Cylinder matched to the 7" inner i added.

the old inner barrel was toast, I had a 7" dboys inner and outter, I had a machinest shave the
front sight stop off so the Maul's front end would slide on clean and smooth.
Had to do a little trimming to int internals of the body for the new outter barrel.
Now it averages 354 FPS / 1.16 Joule @ 11 PRS

Pretty good grouping for a used 7inch inner and @25 feet with no hop should translate into some Nice range.
Even more if you add just a little hop :)

Thank you for watching folks

  • Good work Carm! Way to bring back a dead gun to life.

    Fyi: Hop up takes about 75-100 feet to start to affect the trajectory. At 25 feet not much of anything will happen.
