I watched Beck at Ronnie Scott's earlier tonight... He's the single-most interesting gtr player in the world right now. Quite amazing for me to 'discover' him now as I have taken a 40 yr journey from Ritchie Blackmore; Jan Akkerman; Larry Carlton to Brent Mason - all mind-blower gtr players. Now I find Beck.
Nobody in the world is doing what he's doing - totally unique 'approach' and in-control of his technique. I will now go and try to copy this style for the next x years..

Beck is a guitar god and very deserving of all the praise he gets. Check out Bolero, the seventies version by the James Gang featuring Joe Walsh. You will hear some familiar elements. Great stuff!
