From the self titled debut album, 'Colours' (1968). This song is known as one of the best examples of orchestrated psych.

  • hey brakeman-

i would love to hear "love heals" again [i think that was the title. the refrain was "do you love one another?"]. it got a lot of air play when it came out. it was on the flip side of their 45 with "bad day" but i cannot locate it on youtube. do you have it?

  • @cgboomer Yes I have Love Heals too, I'll try to get it on here soon.

  • yeah colours ! great album

this guys is the same band the moon ?

  • Songwriters Jack Dalton & Gary Montgomery formed Colours and on the second and final album (Atmosphere), members of The Moon were the backing musicians...

  • This album was a cut-out bin staple.

  • I've been searching for this song for months but all I could remember was the chorus of - "Bad day at black rock, baby, bad day today."

Haven't heard this since the '60s or '70s

    Nice one.

  • @cgboomer ... I Have the Colours album on CD if you need any of the songs on MP3 just write me with the addy you want them sent to !!!!

  • Great tune - does it have anything to do with the film of the same name?

  • brakeman- that would be great if you can post love heals. thanks!

  • Never heard this song before, and I understand it goes back, way back to those days of The British Invasion, of music. How come it wasn't played here in Vancouver Canada (1968 ). I was constantley listening to the radio if I wasn't working/watching tv..I knew the Top 40, but this # illuded me! Perhaps it was played for a few....well anyway there's always something new on youtube & it appears I got some catching up to do. thx4 postin'

  • I picked up this LP back in a cut-out bin in the mid-70's...wore the grooves out of it. This track is a great indicator of the rest of the record...a definite must for lovers of the Beatlesque! A bit of trivia about this band & album: a short bit of one of their songs can be heard in an episode of the late 60's sit-com, "Family Affair" when Buffy & Jody are watching a TV show with a popular music group playing. My personal favorite track on the above album is "Cataleptic".
