Ali was a first rate guitarist once but Watford, his wife Janet and the nightly blow made him accomodating and compliant. He really was very competent at one stage. I grew up with him and he was a good lad too. He really could have been something.

Ali Ramage never worked out that he was wasting his time with this bunch , Paul's little gang, the balding Watford hairdresser who over estimated both his talent and the world's demand for him.
