If you want your children to see these specials, "The First Easter Rabbit," "The Easter Bunny Is Comin' to Town" and "Peter and the Magic Egg" are all available on DVD. The other two have not been released on DVD, but used VHS copies can be found online. "A Family Circus Easter" has also been uploaded to YouTube by mechanicalman85.

If you're in the United States, just plug "Peter and the Magic Egg" into Amazon. It's still available on DVD. You can order it new (doubled up with another cartoon), or if you prefer it to be the only program on the disc, you can also order a used copy.

I taped all of these specials when they aired back on the Disney Channel in 1989. I still have the tape and watch it every Easter (it also has some Fleischer Superman cartoons and an episode of This is America, Charlie Brown).

I wish the Disney Channel would pay this much attention to all the holidays nowadays like they would back in the early years; now they just show Christmas and (sometimes) Halloween stuff, and even then it's done in a half-assed manner.

Boy, this takes me back...especially to "Peter and the Magic Egg." You just don't see as many steampunk cyborgs in Easter cartoons these days; you really don't. :(

I miss these old specials! Especially the claymation one and the family circus one. I'm not sure if I remember the other ones... I do remember one about a chicken worried about a crocodile or a wolf or something stealing her eggs and eating them... Anyway, seems like ABC family plays most of the good specials disney used to play. But even then, some of them are sadly not even being aired on there. The claymation one is a classic. So that kind of surprises me,

Disney would be pissed if he knew what they did to his good name. he would not have put up with these kids today. step out of line and your fired. same for the people running his empire. bring back all the holiday show!
