This is a 1986 4runner with IFS and no modifications other then a welded differential, bigger tires, some major weight reduction, a custom fabricated cross member (smashed the factory one) and custom fabricated 3rd row seating. We were in a group of about 10-14 heavily modified Jeeps ( front and rear lockers, lifts, big tires, etc). Only one jeep (that made my truck look like a tinker toy) out of the group attempted this and it actually caused so much flex his rear coil spring popped out. After he fixed it I decided to give it a shot though I doubted the 4runner could do it. To my surprise and pretty much everyone there I found out just how possible it was. My purposely red neck sounding comment at the end was a response to my clutch I had to abuse to get through.

  • would of been a better video with no music :(

  • @sirtubemaster Wish granted, I was on the fence on whether or not I wanted to keep the music. The rock garden video has a pretty cool song but it's hard to find a good 10 minute song.

  • @xthegrim Much better; the engine noise, clinks and clanks are way better to listen too! nice driving too that Yota rocks

  • @sirtubemaster I have been wheeling for a a while so I do ok. That truck however is amazing, the body and frame are so rusted, it has over 220k on it and it's going on these trips, pounding off rocks, and not giving up. I recently found out that the front brakes have been completely frozen for years, the back brakes have been the only thing stopping me.

  • @sirtubemaster You should tell me what you think of the other video of it. I don't know if I can bring myself to take the music off it though, I love the song I found for it.

  • One bad problem when wheeling with Heeps, they never can make far enough down the trail to help pull ya out. Unless there's a bypass. Nice vid.

  • @4XWHORE I hate to admit it took me second to realize what you meant by the "Heeps" comment, very funny though.
