What really pisses me off about domestic violence is that friends and family members blame the victim. They always say things like "Oh, she's so stupid, why don't she just leave, she must enjoy it." They don't get that it's way more complicated than that. There are many different reasons why they stay, and the woman enjoying a man beating her isn't one of them. Bottom line is, if it were that simple to just get up and walk off, they would be doing just that.

Notice how the COMMUNITY got involved in helping Gina out of the relationship. Found it very telling that they wouldn't just accept that Gina accepted her own fate and the way it was gonna be for her was just the way it was gonna be.
