grey western pleasure show TWH gelding

He took second in this class with my friend Danielle riding him. He is a 6 yo 14.3hh gelding, and a perfect gentleman. I plan on showing him in more western pleasure classes this summer. Maybe let my in-laws show him.

It was in Beavercreek OH. If you look on your local fairgrounds website, there might be some small shows put on by local farms that have gaited classes.

I'm showing my paso fino gelding for the first time at Fair in august for 4-H. Any tips? This is the only video I could find of easy-gaited western pleasure, and it helped a lot

@equiniphile Just keep smiling! If the horse is well trained. he will win it for you. I was not the rider in this video, a friend of mine was, and she never showed a gaited horse a day in her life.

I'll be sure to keep smiling :). I'm concerned though because my Paso Fino has like 3 gaits above the walk before the canter.....he does the TWH gait, he does a Fino, and a fox trot. And he chooses which one he does lol. We're going to have to work on that....also, what's the headset for gaited Western Pleasure? Most WP horses have low headsets, but gaited horses are usually ridden on a tighter rein. My gelding will go on either, I just don't know which the judges will be looking for
