Well at least they didnt die with a bolt or nail right between their eyes and being drained of guts

How ironic that this accident allowed some horses to live and be adopted. A double decker filled with horses only means one thing: A trip to the slaughterhouse.

@Kylla4 thats excatly how my friend thinks about horses old nags and I tell her the excact thing you said

@liveandlearn1233 They were going to a Slaughter house see the truck ?

More suvived by going through that incident than they would had the thing not tipped over. The sad thing is, those horses excepted help and seem to be people friendly.....now alot of them are probably lame for thier lives. Why couldn't people have just kept them while they could still work? None of that would have happend if they had just stopped and thought, oh hey maybe this is a liveing breathing and unbelievably forgiveing creature, no reason to kill it.

that wreck was probably a life saver for most of those horses. definantly going to slaughter.

Great story....I'm sorry they had to go through something so horrific. But it restores my faith in people when a group pours over equine accident victims like that...and saves lives. They were bound for slaughter...and every life they saved matters to that ONE.
Can't imagine how awful it was for them....even had that fireman choked up.... :(

i was just thinking, they were probably headed to slaughter.poor horses.slaughter of horses is evil and should be banned.horses are pets/atheletes not food

@AppyArt Omg, I could not stop cryingg :(((
Hmmm...41 horses, double decker trailer...nah, they're not going to slaughter. Oh yes, they are! They're horses saying, "Thanks for sending me to death, when all I tried to do was be your friend and do whatever you asked." I loved you, but you didn't love me enough to keep me through my old age. That's ok, I'll still love you when I die. I'll wait for you to come back. How can we do this to our friends?
