"Good clean catch"...?...Rotten handling of a wild fish...be careful next time....Throw it back like a football?...You characters are nuts!

i agree with the fact tthat the wild steelies are deff a bit more fragile they should be treated as precious as they are fight fast release quick with minimal handling no net if possible and deff keep in the water expecialy on what you note a warm sunny day the fact that you call yourself a guide makes me sick and u top it off with a fucking football toss thats a great lesson to teach on film about the care and handling of a wild fish might as well string it up u meat head

Too bad it died! Idaho Wild Steelhead are not meant to be removed from the water. You noticed it was wild yet you netted it and then beat the hell out of it followed by a football toss into the river. Real classy.

Beautiful fish but too bad it is dead. A wild fish isn't meant to be taken out of the water in Idaho.

i agree with steelheaddad. idaho salmon are a rare privelage and need to be respected. unless you dont like salmon fishing...i was raised near those parts and am an avid fisherman...i'm surprised that fish wasnt dead before it got back to the water.
might not want to keep a wild one out of the water for a full 2 minutes next time

Nice fish I fish the Salmon alot, I will comment on the bad handling of this fish This wild fish should have been played fast landed carefully and photographed quickly. The bad net job was ugly as was the holding the fish out of the water for commentary Tossing the fish back in like a football was bad. Did this fish live to spawn? Notice the damage to it's head and its side This does not bode well for this fishes survival. Wild Idaho steelies should always be handled and let go with care
