Once again, depth drop and depth jump is doing wonder in my life for the 2nd time.
Squat like mad for pass months, not going for 1rm.. but aiming for reps and sets....and result is showing!
I got higher again...

Special thanks to Adarq and Kelly Baggett

  • well done. hard work pays off

  • It does look like he slows down and stays on the ground a bit too long for the step and loses momentum. Maybe needs to work on explosive muscles in the calves.

  • NIce work scoobs

  • Great work man, try more speed on you aproach to the rim. If you tranfer the energy right you will get a little higher. Check out may latest vid, you will see what I mean. I honestly don't think it take that long to improve one's vert. You just have to train correctly. You have made good progress. Keep it up. You obviously have to strength, so focus on the plyos. As you progress add weighted plyos and focus all on one leg plyo/training (box, pistols, etc), and your 2 lg jump will improve!

  • Is this a standard 10 ft rim?

  • good stuff BIY

  • @adarqui Yeah he compressed into the ground a LOT better on that, got lower as well in the plant so more ROM... he actually looked reactive to me on some of the jumps - plant and immediately jump with good load.

  • Nice work Scooby.

With your commitment it won't be long now before you dunk a full size ball.

Only bit of constructive criticism is that I noticed you doing static stretching before jumping. I think it is better to do dynamic stretching. I'm not an expert on it but if you google it you will find lots of articles.

Keep going man, look forward to your next vid.

  • awesome video man!

the blood from rim is kinda lame , not just in this vid , in any jump/dunk vid , but even with this the video is still awesome! :D

    keep up the hard work...
