Still lot's of comparisons to ancient history and myths; Lucas obviously read his litterature, and there sure is a lot of references to e. g. The Illiade and even the Bible.

But now we'll have to look closer at the role of Palpatine - the Emperor:

Darh Vader is in our community looked upon as the ultimate villain in Star Wars - but that is IMO based on a view from the first two movies. With "Return Of the Jedi" and certainly the trilogy of the "new" Star Wars movies, "The Phantom Menace", "The Clone Wars" and "Revenge Of the Sith", Lucas focus on the evil power of the Emeror. The reason that the weak minded Anakin Skywalker could be turned to the dark side - to pure evil.

IMO the Emperor depicture the Devil himself. The incarnated evil, who hardly can be looked upon as human. Palpatine and the Siths obviously represent the dakness and the corrupted, polluted mind while the good, judicious Jedi Nights represent the light. They represent where we all should stand. Yet it is obvious, that some people get drawn to evil - either because of exitement or a need for a higher position. In Anakin Skywalker's case, he is obviously disturbed from traumatisation earlier in life seeking ultimate power. There is here no direct reference to what I think is the DEEPER meaning of Star Wars - rather the obvious comparison to e.g. Hitler or communiats Romania's Chauchesko, who both experienced traumatising and critical childhoods and youths. This is not to be related to the Gangsters of The New World order such as the Clintons, the Bush's, The Rothschilds, The Rockefellers and the zionist NeoCons of both the US congress and the Israeli government - represented by the UN, the EU, the USA, CNN, FOX and other brands that people - mostly Americans and Europeans - have relied to as being for the good.

Why do i suddenly draw attention to those institutions? What have they to do with Senator Palpatine? I'll elaborate on that...
