  • I saw this on MTV in 1981! Only once, never forgot it. Thanks for posting. Why would a guy go out with his ex if they both knew they were going home alone? Here's a funny thought: When I saw this I was 17. I thought this guy looked like some middle aged loser. Now I'm a middle aged loser (43) and he looks young to me now!

  • Why would a guy go out with his ex if they both knew they were going home alone? Because he still kinda wonders if maybe something could happen...yunno, maybe he could still get a little..even though it becomes clear as the evening transpires that it just ain't gonna be the case...

  • been looking for this for years... thanks! He was outstanding in the "fusion" times.

  • After seeing the movie "It's Complicated" I had to find this and reflect on the truth of it all.

    Thank you Robert!

  • Wow... last time I saw this was on HBO's Video Jukebox in '83. :)

  • Great stuff. Still looking for "Bon Voyage" from the Ivory Coast days. You bring class to getting some" ass."

  • That's not a hollowbody in the recording, it's obviously a Strat. Oh, the phoniness of music videos....it's an OUTRAGE!! Is that Ernie Watts on sax? Great song.

  • Robert,

    Truly you are the man!!!!!

  • Oh my gosh! I can't believe I am seeing the video. Thanks for making it available! I played this in college radio, and thanks to Robert sending me a copy I played it just a year ago while hosting a radio LoveSong show in the SF Bay Area-what a treat for my listeners!

  • I can't believe it's you! I loved watching you perform in Manhattan. I had such a crush...
