everything is true except that it will increase engine lifespan, that is not true and is very obvious, cause aftermarket air filters have bigger gaps in order to allow more airflow, but this gaps also allow dust to get in, which is not good for your engine, but not all aftermarket air filters are so bad , in fact there's a brand that make filters that are only 1% dirtier than OEM filters but allow 30% more airflow, so with it have have the benefits and u do keep ur engine, they are S&B filters

12 HP gain added to a 3500lbs vehicle... WHEW!!!! so noticeable?. I have put K&N on my last 3 vehicles. have not noticed ANY difference in HP or MPG yet! but the filters are OBVIOUSLY way better than the paper elements so I will buy K&N for the Frontier I just bought too. Folks just dont be sold that the fancy air intake systems actually give NOTICEABLE anything but piece of mind in excellent filtration and some of that hot rod sound too.

@MrHondakiller93 K&N makes awesome cold air intakes.. and yes the intakes and filters add life to an engine. they make them so they DON'T suck in hot air.
