No, she isn't. I listened Plorate Colles in your page, a very good performance: but the Soprano isn't Elisa Franzetti. She doesn't seem Italian to me...

She sings beautifully. I prefer this restrained and delicate version. I like her also in medieval repertoire - I remember her with Cantica Symphonia in a very, very good CD "Almisonis Melos" - pity she doesn't sing at the new recordings

finally a nice voice singing this song! there are sooo many interpretations of it on the internet, most of them of worldrenoun singers while most of them either women with alto-leaning voices (even when high they sound as if they lack female hormons) or by castrato voices that sound like heavy-duty alto voices LoL This woman has very tender voice!

@silsio Concordo con te Silsio :) Per carità Jaroussky canta bene, ma il vero barocco sta da un'altra parte secondo me...sarebbe come paragonare una specialista come M. Grazia Schiavo ad un fenomeno da baraccone come Simone Kermes.

@nautilusagency Per carità impara ad ascoltare bene, questa esecuzione è perfetta è assolutamente in stile. Non paragoniamo il commerciale alla musica fatta con sacrifico e criterio musicale. Qui c'è uno studio della prassi esecutiva che ahimè nel caro Jaroussky sarebbe difficile trovare.

Assolutamente retorica e banale e questa soprano stona spesso! Un'intepretazione vergognosa e a questo punto c'è da rigraziare Jaroussky di esistere.
