"Misty River" Part 2 Watercolour Painting Demonstration

Visit my bookstore at http://www.LearnToPaint.net I started the sky with a flat wash of Raw Sienna. Over this I put in some Ultramarine Blue. Before the sky was dry I put in some distant hills using a mix of Ultramarine and Alizarin Crimson but to be honest it wasn't nearly strong enough and I lost the effect. Before the hills were dry I put in the trees using a stronger mix of Lemon Yellow and Paynes Gray.

@WatercolourWorkshop cool, i like to listen to classical when i paint landscape, it's soothing and helps me to focus on the view, but if im painting something like comic book characters or just something with a horror theme i listen to metal.

@keckvan66 granted it's not the most misty river I've ever seen and maybe should have titled it something else.

I mean the small lake. the wide just about length of tree. usually you are painting the huge river.
DId you have the video for the small river watercolour painting.

@159tony I generally listen to Chill on digital radio. It's modern, easy listening but what I like most is there are no adverts and no dj's, just music.
