I started watching MARA CARA without any background of the casting of the show, as the show progressed, I learn to love the character of Mara who is the protagonist . Though her role is not really challenging, but she portrayed it with such depth and passion, though a few times her voice and delivery of her lines were not perfect, but overall she really caught my attention. Later I saw this video in magkaribal and I was so impressed of her performance, brilliant. THAT IS KATHRYN BERNARDO!!!

@TheFaithfair I agree with everything you said. Kahit hindi masyadong challenging yung role niya sa Mara Clara, ramdam ko pa din yung DEPTH niya as an actress. Meron kasing ibang artista na walang kalalim-lalim umarte. And yeah, yung boses niya dun siya sumasablay talaga. Pero ma-iimprove din yan. Magmamature din yung boses niya in the future.

I don't like it when they compare Kath to Julia. Marami kasi akong nababasang comments sinasabi nila na mas magaling si Julia. Hindi nila dapat i-compare yung acting ni Kath kay Julia, kasi magkaiba yung role nila sa MC.

Kathryn Bernardo is really exceptional! two thumbs up! really had goose bumps! napakagaling niya dito! wla ksi syang ganitong mga eksena sa maraclara e. unlike dito sa magkaribal, napaka-lalim ng karakter na ginaganapan niya. sa maraclara napakalight lng e kc masyado siyang mabait dun.or maybe she has taken for granted. sobrang galing niya dito speachless talaga ako while watching!

I really think that ABS saw her potential here but in the course of Mara Clara, the focus turned to Clara's character development more. I noticed that even when the show first started. I learned to love Clara because she really needed the love and attention that it was hard for me to believe when she went wayward. Buo na yong character no Mara sa remake, yong kay Clara they fleshed it out.
