Why the hell bring your gun in your car then? This is the dumbest shit I've ever seen.

With the setup you showed, the gun can still technically be fired, whether it's attached to your seat or not. So you can get into some pretty big trouble doing that. It's probably best to use the cable lock as it's intended (put through the chamber).

i feel like a locked glove compartment would work better. Those can be cut VERY easily with bolt cutters, even small ones would cut it. That being said, i do like the ingenuity of the idea and it is DEFINITELY better than nothing.

Thanks for checking out the video, check out my other video on the car safe. It's also another good option if you want to upgrade.

@ICWWEVERYDAY thanks for checking out the video. Just have to be careful if you have the firearm cocked and locked. If i do lock it up that way i empty the chamber and lock the slide back. And hillbilly nunchucks rule.

Nice idea dakine, however, I don't think it's a good idea to do this while the gun is loaded. Plenty could go wrong while messing around with a cable lock and a loaded gun, even IF the safety is ON.
Although an empty gun isn't much use to you anywhere..... I would recommend that you UNLOAD it before "storing" it in this fashion.

Very true, i only thought about it after i made the video. Having the lock loop in the trigger guard and the firearm locked and loaded is a bad idea.
I'll make a follow up video for this to unload the firearm if it will be locked up like this.
