On 28th May 2008 the Metropolitan Police raid Confidentialaccess agents in the UK accompanied by seasoned reporter Richard Bilton and a BBC news crew. The BBC instigated these high profile arrests by deliberately ordering a fake driving licence in the name of the then British Home Secretary (Jaqueline Smith). This gave authorities a red light and typical Labour "no expenses spared budget" to prosecute CA at no cost. The case continues, and no trial is set until at least Feb 2012, costs are out of control and we wonder what the New Conservative Government thinks of such expenditure, and whether the BBC are contributing towards the the ridiculous legal bill.
