Arrangement for charango of this piece attributed to John Dowland (1563 -- 1626).
i made this adaptation to the charango because i think that, as a descendant of early string instruments, can also be used to play this music.

  • I love when u do the charango stuff!

  • thanks. i´m glad you like my charango recordings.

  • Very beautiful and enchanting melody, played with a sure and musical touch showing real passion for the style,Dowland was a mighty fine composer and you added a very nice touch with your charango interpretation. Please check out my new posted composition made in Andalucia(Spain) "Sangre de Flores" tell me what you think, greets Vic.

  • Thanks a lot for your comment. Dowland was a fantastic composer and i like how the bright sound of the charango can help me on my attempt to reproduce the beautiful melodies he created.

  • Forgive my ignorance but is this style of music what was being played in europe at the time the Spaniards first went to Latin America? I.e. was this what thay might have played on thier vihuelas when they got there?

  • Gracias.

    Saludos, R.

  • thank you.
