Cycles and Revolutions director Boris Kievsky asks Alan Dershowitz about "the Trotskys who make the revolutions and the Bronsteins who pay the price." Never afraid to state his views, Professor Dershowitz gives his perspective on the promise and fate of the revolution.
The pipe dreams of misguided "thinkers" who push secular internationalism, universalism, socialist transformationalism, socal justice jingoisms, or climate change dogma are no more than practioners of idolatry who place their trust and lives on false constructs having no gravitas in reality or inspiration drawn from truth. They fail every time to practice what they preach. Because they don't have the power to bear, carry, or deliver mankind from his iniquity. Only God Is Able In His Way Alone

So Dershowitz is basically saying people should stick to tribal nationalism? That's not going to help society much. Trotsky and other Jewish thinkers like Rosa Luxemburg, for all their faults, at least promoted an internationalist, universal message for radical social transformation. If anything, Jews should be proud of such heroic thinkers, not blowhards like Dershowitz.

Dershowitz is a lunatic. Just watch the Democracy Now debate where Norman Finkelstein exposes this looney tune. He supports the most extreme Israeli policies and then condemns others when they do the same but for some other state or entity.
