Italian Walking Holidays
Based in Molini di Triora in the Italian Maritime Alps just 20km from the sophisticated Italian Riviera harbour town of San Remo. The graded walks are all centred on the impressive and beautiful Argentina Valley with its diverse scenery of wooded valleys, olive groves and rugged peaks. At the head of the valley is Monte Sacarello 2200m, accessed along the Alta Via, and bordering onto French territory (Nice airport about 50 miles/80km). Just 25km from Molini lies the sparkling azure waters of the Mediterranean Sea. Your guide will be Julie Newman, with over 20 years walking experience in Europe and with the UK Ramblers Association. Julie lives close to Molini and is a popular figure with all the local inhabitants of Molini and the entire valley because of her passion for the Italian way of life and walking. She knows all routes thoroughly and also has lots of information on the varied history, diverse animal and plant life and local culture. For larger groups her husband Mark assists in the guiding, again with great local knowledge and many years experience of not only walking but racing his bike throughout Europe.
The level and composition of walks can be graded to suit the ability or wishes of the group or individual.
