Matter of fact, Toyota Land Cruiser was available in Canada with a Diesel engine 4 cylinder 3.4 from 1981 to 1987 and with a 6cylinder 4.2 in 1986 and 1987. They were very good and reliable engine. Had a 1984 3.4 L , bought it at 180,000km, sold it 12 years later with 200,000km more and got the exact same price I paid for ! They call this engine " Bullet proof engine " !!!

Wow!!! How did you do that? A fucking Toyota with Mercedes-Benz engine?
It's heart , the Mercedes might annoy her homosexual body, the Toyota Landcruiser
Great job man!!! That's why the fucking Toyota engine is piece of junk!
buy German & American diesel engines for your off-road.
You better use the Ford or the Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon engine.

@unimogman404 No, Toyota & Mercedes are the rivals

do you still have the blue prints on how to make the adapter plate ?

You did a great job and i am impressed with your work. Did you use the Toyota tranny and T-case. I have thought of doing this with a Scout, but using the mercedes tranny and a divorced t-case. I have a Willys with a motor out of a 220D and a tranny out of a 200D and works great. Aren't Mercedes engines awesome...

could you provide some details on how you relocated the oil-filter housing?
Currently in the middle of installing the same motor into my fj40 (early land cruiser).
any info would be appreciated...
thanks
I made the adapter plate out of 2" thick 6061-t6 plate on CNC mill.

It was quite the project. The filter housing is now mounted to the chassis. It's got about 25K miles on it now. Not one single problem!!
