Lasek eye surgery. No blade. A alcohol solution is used to loosen the epithelial tissue and the laser is applied.
You might want to check out for patien info. Good site. Created by volunteers. be sure to also check out their forum if you have any questions about the surgery.

  • Eye feel your pain

  • Reading the comments it looks like everyone is different.

I had my LASEK on 12th March 2010, and when I got the 'bandage' contact lens's fitted it made me feel so nauseous that I had to have them removed after 3 days (and I was a contact lens wear before my eye surgery) any way it was 1. 1/2 months before I got 20/20 now its even better after 4 months! No pain just slight discomfort, or maybe because I felt so sick I didn’t feel the pain!!! I don’t regret it, so go for it.

  • Doesn't it hurt because your eye can't blink fully?

  • @EnviroSMW trololol

  • How did that knife thing feel

  • dear lord, i'm sticking with contacts. omg.

  • LASEK SURGERY for $25. CNN Business Anchor, Joya Dass, directs inspirational documentary on Blindness in India. (bit.ly/FirstSightTheDocumentary)

  • @JohnyK07 The contact lense is removed 5-7 days after surgery when the cells grow back I believe..

  • Why doesn't the doctor put your own flap back on the eye, and puts a synthetic one instead?

Won't that stuff come off really easy? what's the difference from having contact lenses then? I mean, besides losing your original eye flap forever...

  • btw don't let the video frighten you, its completely painless, well except the fucking eye drops, but that might be a personal thing....

  • @sabuomarrr1 It went very good, perfect sight and no side effects, except well the usual expected ones...but I would recommend you go to the best eye doctor you can find when you get this done. My dads secretary got hers done in England at some kind of a franchise. They didn't do all of the necessary tests, and cut into her pupil or something, now she can't drive at night and still has glasses. I had that pupil dilation test done and was told to wait 2-3 years before I get lasek(which I did)...

  • @chillercm how did it go?? better sight? side effecfts?
