Didn't even know this existed until I stumbled upon it on a VHS tape Wayne gave to my friend Jamie Gustkey. Many thanks to Jamie for lending me his tapes. Here's a funny story from Dave Fridmann about the track.
"It continued with Nathan throwing up all over the console, during, I believe it was God Walks Among Us Now. It was in the formative stages of being mixed but with the vomit all over, no one would touch the board. My mix engineer threw his hands in the air, handed me his studio key and walked out. Quit just like that. The band just sorta stared at me. Then I think it was Wayne who got up and went over the the tape machine and pressed play and record. They decided to keep the take against the pleas of their record company. The way you hear the song on the record is what was literally on the board at the time Nathan threw up."

Old School Flamming Lips were so much better than the new fluffy flowery stuff they make. Just like Mercury Rev. They used to rock then went the same direction. Makes me wonder if Dave Friedman told both bands to go all flutey patewty :) I want both bands to rock again. By the way do you know the connection between both bands, and ow Friedmand wound up working with one from New York and one in Oklahoma?
