Christians told by Police to leave Public Area.

On November 3, 2007; Christian evangelists have their 1st Amendment rights taken away while at a public skate park. Prior to this video, police accepted the testimony of one woman without taking into consideration what the several evangelists had to say about their activities at the skate park. She falsely accused them of hugging children and making inappropriate statements. The officer told them they had to leave the fenced-in area of the skate park which is the main place where people gather not just to skate, but to socialize. This place consists of a skating area and grassy lawn. They were to be prohibited entry into this area unless they got written permission from the city attorney specifying that they could evangelize here. The officer refuses to take into consideration any 1st Amendment rights. Approximately one month after this incident, new rules were put into place indicating that spectators cannot enter the fenced-in area of the skate park. We were told by city officials that anyone not skating in this area would be considered a spectator.

The officer doesn't know the law he is sworn to uphold. That's why he is asking for them to leave and "clarify" things on their own.

It's discouraging to see "christians" being uncooperative in public but it's even more disheartening that they would post this to the web for non-believers to see. Where is the humility that the LORD demands. Where is the subservience to the 'sword' that is demanded. These "christians" have destroyed their testimony.
