Have people still not gotten the word that they were duped by a liberal NYT writer on this one? The scanner that amazed Bush was one that was new for the time period. It weighed the items and could do other things that the normal scanner could not. It has been talked about and talked about, just thought everyone had been made aware of getting the wool pulled over their eyes on this one by now.

Well, my sister has a Ph.D. but cannot operate an ATM or a tollbooth. However, unlike Bush I and that checkout line, she knows they exist.

Bush II, despite months of flash card drills with Rove, called Greeks Grecians, Kosovars Kosovonians, and just recently, despite years of OJT at our expense, called Australian troops Austrians.

Speaking of gas, he also did not know gas had gone over $4/gallon in places.

To be fair, I think there is a little truth on both sides. Bush may have seen a scanner before, but it was not commonplace, and for him, operating it was cool. It does show that he was/is not connected to the population, just like Rmoney and (to a lesser extent) Obama
