I'm just wondering, do you guys think it's the same thing as supporting farm subsidies, if you give workers that qualify or is willing to open a business free money? Do you guys think that's contradictory in the video?

In my opinion, it's the same thing, and Stossel is right to condemn both.

But he encouraged the money rather be given to those willing to open a business rather than it going to the stadium where it goes to the workers. I thought he held that more in a positive light than farm subsidies.

I don't see where he says that money should be given to those willing to open a business. He may say that it is a less bad use of it, but I've never seen him support any government subsidy or government handout. He prefers to let individuals choose what charities and businesses to support.
