Sound Swarm (of the Bike Bloc) @ the Climate Summit

The Climate Summit in Copenhagen was a definitive moment in deciding the future of life on this planet. On December 16, 2010, a march and direct-action called Reclaim Power attempted to enter the summit area in order to present alternative solutions and critique a process that prioritized economics over a sustainable biosphere. The Bike Bloc was a technique developed for that day of action, hundreds of bikes broken into smaller swarms, each swarm with it's own tactics and sector of approach to the site of the conference (the Bella Center). This video documents the preparation of the Bike Bloc, then, on the day of action, only the Sound Swarm. We were five loudspeaker enables bikes and about a dozen total people. The sounds were composed by Filastine plus submissions from artists worldwide. In the video you see mostly preparation and arrest, because when we were in motion and engaged it was hectic & nearly impossible to video.
