A 27 year old Kenyan student from Oxford University has become the latest entrant in the now seemingly crowded 2012 presidential race. In announcing her intentions, Kingwa Kamenchu says that what she lacks in age and experience she makes up in a passion and determination to improve the lives of ordinary Kenyans. Evelyn Wambui tells us about a young poet and writer's dream to change not just the face but also the style of leadership in Kenya.

  • I love her spirit.

Those hating on her are those with no vision or ambition. Most are probably wishing they could have the same passion and ambition she has!!!!

  • She has to wait until I serve my term as president!

  • its good to be ambitious.. but also you must always be REALISTIC!

  • wewe wacha hio maneno!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i would advise her to start dowm maybe senator ,then climb her way up.but president lolest

  • to serve that office of the presidency you need tested and found to be worth the salt in smaller matters. My dear why don't you first venture in constituency, gubernatorial, senate or ward level then that way people can gauge you on achievement in matters ante your presidential bid

  • if its gods will its his bill,,haha,,so is it so?

  • Kenya is not as bad as wananchi portray. I find her disingenuous. She did not to allude to any manifesto for Kenya's betterment under her tutelage and reiterated her gender and youth. Not a single policy or injurious legislation was mentioned. If u r young and risque share your aspirations with the masses which she conveniently eschewed. Who will fund her campaign? Another illustrious pipe dream.

  • I found it rediculous that she would cry over the plight of kenyans. As a Kenyan, i want a president who will look for solutions and not cry over my problems. As a kenyan citizen, i want a strategic thinker and not someone who leaves things to God's will. What is she going to do when faced with serious international issues, like political pressure from foreign countries, IMF, World Bank, Al Shabab etc? Will she effectively advocate for Kenya or cry and say, God's will be done?

  • Asked how she'd finance her campaign, she answers "I usually say if it is God's will, it is His bill",even me at 18 knew better.

  • I am lookin at her hips my she has dem y lie

  • good way to launch a political career. Do you guys remember how Mbarire started? Soon she will be in FIDA, the UN, the African forum for this and that, then nominated MP, then assistant Minister. Devoid of ideas or doctrine but she's smart here. That's my crystal ball:)

  • @siasabora LOL Yeah def not the right candidate.
