This video demonstrates how you would read a Comic Book in Art Book, using manual controls. The controls are similar to the built in photo.app, except with a higher level of control, including 3+ zoom levels, and a page picker along the bottom.

Art Book is a new Comic Viewing app for the iPhone, and it will be available very soon. It will be free, and include an in-app store with content from several major publishers.
