Very intense sport, love the techniques and the brotherly love it implies....if some guys want to see it as homo-erotic, that's fine and a compliment to the wrestlers. Oil wrestling is older than this. The Origins are reaching out till the ancient egypt and comes to central asia :)
The greek version was not very similar to this, just a "copy" with other rules, cause they were naked.
Anyway, it´s a traditional wrestling form which is nearly 4800 years old...RESPECT!! :DD

The winner's name is Hasan Kabakgi. He's
from Bursa, one of Turkey's larger cities.
Nice guy, too, a clean wrestler.

There was no "pin" in this match by either wrestler after 30 minutes, so the ref. sent them to "sudden death overtime."
The one to gain a control position (got his opponent down and had a firm grip from behind) three times became the winner on points.
