In Montreal olympic games in 1976,the degree was first USSR(CCCP), second German democratic republic, third USA
But considering a nation's strength(economic power, population, territorry area, etc), real winner was German democratic republic(DDR),not USSR and USA.
I strongly believe that until my death.

The "English" woman speaking French is Queen Elizabeth II, who is the official head of state for Canada, host country for the games. She spoke in both French and English since Canada is officially a bilingual country and Montreal is in Quebec and Quebec was (and still is) a province of Canada. Besides, Montreal is multi-lingual as were the Olympics.

Konfussio:

It's called the "Olympic Cantata" - music by André Mathieu (arranged by Victor Vogel) and lyrics by Louis Chantigny.

The music of the Montreal Olympics was, by far, the best I have ever heard for any Olympic Games. All the music for these Games, except the Official Olympic Anthem, was written by André Mathieu.

CyberTybor:

I agree. The music for the "March of the Athletes" used for the 1976 Olympics is the most stirring, and by far the best, I have ever heard for this genre.

All the music of the Montreal Games, except the Official Olympic Anthem, is based on music composed by André Mathieu and arranged by Victor Vogel & others. André Mathieu was a musical genius whose premature death at the age of 39 came much too soon.

Olympique does host some sports and concerts, but i dont think it'll last long. It cost too much to maintain, and there is not many teams that would want to stay in the stadium for a long time, considering that people barely come for home games.

if a team plays there whos going to watch, theres a capacity of more than 50000.Even in Expos games the stadium isnt even filled to 20000 sometimes. The Montreal games was harsh on Montreal, in my opinion it was a mistake to bring the games to the city. But at the time Montreal had a larger population then Toronto, Ontario.Take the Roger Centre in Toronto for example, It has a very simple design, has almost the same capacity as Olympique, cost less and hasnt had much problems.
