@92draw no way dude I'm 19 turning 20 this year and I've rode fixed for a year now. None of my friends ride and think its childish for me to ride a bike. If your friends say you can't get a girl without a car let them speak for themselves. I've got a girl and I still ride my fixed gear. I even get her to take bike rides with me on her beach cruiser. All I'm saying is you gotta do what makes you happy. I love riding and I don't ever want to stop. I don't want a car I want a bike.

Sasha its just a trick. There is no real purpose for the leg over other than it looks cool. Just stick to skip stops and skids for now. And you should probably run a front break, for now at least.

ive just started riding a fixie BUT can someone explain to me why they put one one leg over the handle bars. i know its to help them slow down but is it just putting even more weight on the front wheel to skid rather than just leaning forward? or are they doing some weird foot tricks?
