@harryduns to be honest you can't blame Cold play and snowpatrol for having a popular music genre :/

Saw the great McRae in a little place called The Windmill in Brixton Hill, London, years and years ago. One of the shabbiest places i've seen a band, and that's what made it for me. This song and the small intimate setting. Thanks for the company in my teens! Still loving your music

-
the best ever songs........... i love this song
-
i prefer for tom to go unnoticed so we can see him in great venues and not in big shitty ones like the M.E.N for instance. He is imense though!!!

I know no more haunting a song than this... How can such talent pass so unnoticed?

Love his oh-so-English 'cette chanson s'appelle Mermaid Blues' ;-p
Seriously though, Tom is one of the best singer/songwriters around, and it's criminal that he isn't selling millions of records in a time when wishy washy, faux miserablists like Coldplay and Snow Patrol rule the charts. His songs are so real, so full of human feeling and genuine emotion.
Anyone who doesn't feel the beauty and power of these songs has no heart!
