This seems to be too ambitious, and I am running out of time. I hope to be able to come back to visit VN many more times.
I like your accent. It, perhaps, sounds like that of Cu Chi ? My town used to be green like the current Cu Chi but no more. I did not have a chance to go to your town TDM. I learned that there are tours from Saigon by boats to TDM, Cu Chi, and further up stream. Have to do it next time.
Are you done with college and working yet ? Thanks again for sharing the info.

Rất thích cách cảm nhận của bạn . Chưa có dịp đi đâu nên nhờ mấy video này được mở mang tầm mắt
Hi Phong. Thanks for the info. I read books from Toan-Anh and Son-Nam, but the contexts did not stay in my mind for very long. Many friends of mine and other people who had been to Hue praised and talked about it all the times. Yet I only had a vague idea about the places they mentioned, until I went there recently. Now I know well about those places but still not enough. Hue is beautiful beyond description.
I wanted to document life, culture, history, geography, and the people of Vietnam.

@oakpineful It's great to find like-minded people. When I uploaded these videos Youtube was still in its infancy (for Vietnamese people, at least). I wanted to share and encourage people to do the same thing. We are lucky because we have (limited) resources to fund our travels. Many people in Vietnam can only dream of doing so. Học giả Ng~ Hiến Lê once said: "If you want to learn something, write a book about it".

@oakpineful By doing so, you have to research, organise your thoughts and put them on paper. It's a very good way to learn. And if you can share it with other people then it's like killing 2 birds with 1 stone. I benefited a lot from doing these videos, otherwise I would have forgotten most parts of this trip.
I've been working for a while now. I hope you continue your journeys and share them on Youtube. Cheers ! Phong

Hi Phong,
I am impressed with all the details you provided in your clips. I am always interested in doing similar things. Where do you you find them ? Are they in English or Vietnamese ? Thanks.

@oakpineful Hi, If you're interested in history and culture then after awhile your knowledge will build up from reading many articles, books etc. These days it's even easier to find these information because the internet is full of them. My knowledge comes mainly from Vietnamese books, anything from Việt Nam Sử Lược to Hội Hè Đình Đám của Toan Ánh, Văn Minh Miệt Vườn của Sơn Nam v.v... I wish I had more time and resources to do these videos more professionally and more in depth.
