SORRY, Windows Movie Maker screwed up when I was creating this video... and I haven't been bothered to fix it up. The track that it jumps to is Libera's Luminosa.

The King Shall Rejoice (part 1)
Coronation Anthem No.3 (HWV.260)
(Composed for the Coronation of King George II in 1727)
George Frideric Handel

Choir of King's College, Cambridge
English Chamber Orchestra
Sir David Willcocks
1963

------------------------

The King shall rejoice in thy strength, oh Lord!
Exceeding glad shall he be of thy salvation.

Text from Psalm 21:1,5,3

  • What happens at the 4:25 mark? It switches to another piece... :/

  • I don't know. Something must have went wrong with Windows Movie Maker. Typical Microsoft.

  • This is a 2010 TMEA All-State piece

  • A couple of Texans have already commented on this. Best wishes to all those involved in the performance! (And maybe even a video on youtube would be nice.)

  • @ktlady623 Handel suddenly jumps into "Enya Meets Debussy Land", jumps back to his time and puts it all down on paper. XD

  • @doggieboy94 it was also my All-state piece at 2010

  • I somehow like the Claire de Lune sequence a LOT.

    Who is it by?

  • @tubez4321

Haha agreed... It's nice, and Handel would DEFINITELY be writing before his time. :D

  • The pieces are great!, perhaps for the switch you could check to see if the music file has something up with it where it switches to Libera's Luminosa, otherwise it could have happened where the music files were mixed when you made the movie and you didnt notice it, just incase you havent figured out whats happened allready

  • I love...Haendel was a GREAT composer, it's obvious!

  • This is not a complete recording of the coronation anthem 2! Near the end it cuts out to another piece. It only goes to the end of the opening allegro section. Where is the rest of it?!!!!

  • As written, the Coronation Anthems are ordered 1, 2, 3 ,4, where The King Shall Rejoice is 2. However, in some performances, including the Coronation itself, the movements have different orders. So, it is likely that the movements are numbered here as they were performed.

  • I have no idea, all I know is that for my choir, the music we recieved says Coronation Anthem No. 2 and its these first two songs.

  • So the Coronation Anthems 1,2,3,4, aren't in the same order as HWV number?

And my Windows Movie Maker somehow screwed everything up. It switches to Libera's Luminosa.
