Bull. Don McPherson, a Heisman Trophy Runner-up to Notre Dame's Tim Brown, was a projected first round pick. McPherson was told by several teams that he would be picked in the first round only if he changed his position to wide receiver. McPherson refused, so teams passed him over until the 6th round. As a result, he lost money and was designated a second string QB. That is how he wound up in Canada. Moon began in Canada. Blacks could not be accepted as a quaterback then.

What are you talking about? At the time he was drafted in 1988, there was black starting quarterbacks. One Doug Williams who was drafted in the first round by the Buccaneers, Warren Moon who first played in the CFL until 1984. Doug Williams was a Superbowl MVP in 1987. Randall Cunningham was drafted in the 2nd in 1985 by the Philadelphia Eagles, the same time that drafted Don McPherson. My point is that "racism" was not a factor then.

Don McPherson, if racism was not a factor at the time, would have been a legitimate quarterback in the NFL. He got a raw deal. He would not have had to go to Canada to be a quarterback.
