Sarah Palin IS an issue... Okay, so John Mcain claims to be 'up and at'em' on the campaign trail, but what can Americans really expect of someone who has been battered and bruised through the years - a mere echo of their original glory and energy?

Well, if picking Sarah Palin is any sign of what is going on upstairs, I guess our answers are out the window. He has a limited ability to function reasonably in this world we live in.

I don't wish to downplay the man's shortcomings, but if I were him, based on what little was revealed in the short time the press was allowed to review his records (extremely limited... and for a good reason, to hide details, no doubt) he is better off being a moral supporter to an energetic President of the US than trying to fulfill the role himself.

I for one know my limitations and to 'pretend' to be ready and willing and able to fulfill a role that is above my means would be considered 'malpractice' in a court if taken that way.

To pretend to be ready just to hold office is a dangerous place to be. We all know older people tend to claim they are able to do things which are beyond their reach, but do claim that one is ready to be president of the United States in these trying times, it would be malpractice to let that go by without question.

John Mccain is a nice guy - has serves his country, but he lacks the energy or the mental clarity to bring us into the next century. That is just a fact. It is not to say he is not a hero, but his chance was against Bush and he lost and he, himself, said he would never consider running in 2008.... he would be beyond old to be President.

That is his view, not mine.

If we are to take him at his word, and take this country forward, I think we need to believe in the fact that the next generation has something to offer. Something that has the energy to get things done, the freedom to understand the changes we, as a country, have overcome through the years, and the willingness to adapt.

These are things McCain has demonstrated he is not able to handle.

He is a nice guy, but he is not ready to be President in the next century.

It is time to re-ignite our country - and that takes a new vision, new energy and new focus.

It is time to reclaim America.

Today.

  • HOLY SHIT! mccain is on deaths door and guess who will be left if he dies... that retarded flight attendant palin.

    OBAMA/BIDEN '08!!!

  • He sure is a tough old dude, you have to give him that! Lots of battle scars. But he made a grave mistake in his VP choice. Can't get beyond that one. He should have been the president in 2000 or 2004, I doubt we would be in this 3 prong mess. He's not retarted or mentally ill, he's being handled and not his true self. I hope he writes a new book soon, I am sure his whole life story would be a facinating and read. Got to give him credit not too many people could survive as much.

  • prostate biopsy? ouch

  • McCainasaurus is not well, and while the Cancer has not returned the older he gets the harder it will be for him to fight it if/when it returns. But the good news is he has lifetime health insurance so he will get the best medical care that we have to pay for.

  • YIKES - both is father and grandfather died of strokes & heart problems - and his dad at 70... and McCain has temper issues. Hmmm.

That is not good. Guess people should be thinking a little more seriously about whether journalism major & beauty queen Sarah Palin is ready to be President. She may become it sooner than people think. No joke.

  • My God, PLEASE register to vote to stop this insanity!

  • melanoma is SERIOUS stuff - mccain is very unwell and it is selfish of him to run for president. It is a very tough job and he is too old, too sick and does not have the energy for it. A lot of his support comes from sentimental and sympathetic people.

Obama is very calm, intelligent and has consistently demonstrated good judgment and the right temperament to be president for such difficult times.

    OBAMA/BIDEN 08!!!

  • wow ~ 2 packs a day for 25 years....

  • sorry to say 'thanks but no thanks' john. You've served your country. thanks. But it is time for the country to move forward and your choice of VP shows that there is something wrong with your decision making process. Can you say 'damaged goods'?

America is bigger than you or your bigger-than-life attitude and we have to do what is right for the country, not for John McCain.

thanks again - good luck with those health issues. best of luck- seriously

  • The average hockey moms should vote for Palin if the think running a country is the same as running a family.

She is a hart beat away from the oval office. The good place for the kidds to play in.

Mental health? At what age will he get retarded. 73?
