Actually, they combined this with the '66 "ROAD RUNNER SHOW" title- as early as 1968- linking new animation to both, for "THE BUGS BUNNY-ROAD RUNNER HOUR", which aired on CBS' Saturday morning schedule for over a decade {and briefly in prime time, during the spring of '76, as "THE BUGS BUNNY-ROAD RUNNER SHOW"}.
-
@fromthesidelines this opening also ran on television as part of "The Bugs Bunny, Roadrunner Show" in the early to mid 1980s.
I remember it well on Saturday mornings.

24 frames per second, each frame drawn and painted on acetate. NO COMPUTERIZATION.

This was originally seen (after the opening title and sponsor I.D.), in the 1960-'62 edition of "THE BUGS BUNNY SHOW". The theme was written by JERRY Livingston [not Jay- he was Ray Evans' collaborator, and they composed the themes for "BONANZA" and "MISTER ED"] and Mack David {they also wrote the "Casper the Friendly Ghost" theme for Paramount's original theatrical cartoon series in 1950}.
