@GoodBadUglyest 2/2 This story makes sense when one considers that Watson did the exact same thing to Lotsapoppa a month before. It also makes sense when you consider that forensic teams at the crime scene deduced that Watson and the others had actually been offered drinks when they arrived (because Sebring never expected Watson to stiff him and make off with the LSD and coke.)

@GoodBadUglyest 1/2 Manson was, absolutely certainly, not involved with the planning of the Cielo Drive incident.
The incident was the result of a drug burn. In brief: Watson brought the girls to Cielo to back him up after developing a plan to stiff Jay Sebring on a drug deal (The deal was for Watson to obtain thousands of doses of acid and cocaine, but he planned not to pay for the drugs, but threaten Sebring if he didn't get it for free.)

Whether you think Charles Manson is innocent or guilty, whether you feel remorse for him and/or his victims (whoever you think that is), you can't escape the fact that he is a very sad product of a very sick society. He says it himself without contradiction: He's been in the system since age 9. Prisons are full of people who were raised by this society in such a manner that would guarantee they would be unfit for it. I look at Charlie and see a robot society programmed, following the program.
