1 Yr. Old Male American Shorthair Tabby LOOKING 4 HOME!

Neutered/Vaccinated 12-30-09

Pumpkin is only 1 years old, and a young 1. He has beautiful green eyes. When he was neutered and vaccinated it was discovered he was suffering from a large bite wound on his shoulder. The wound was abscessed and medication prescribed. He also had a very bad cold in his eye that has since cleared.

A home is urgently needed because our garage, where he's fostered is pretty cold. He's hooked up with kitty beds, warming pads etc., but it's still dank, and boring/lonely out there.

When Pumpkin arrived he was terrified. It took a while before we were able to pet him, get him to roll on his back, not recoil in fear over abrupt movements & not be overly sensitive to sound. And he finally started purring while we pet him. What a great feeling. However, due to his initial fear of people, he's of course getting attached to myself and partner, Kim, and we to him. Before he gets too attached to us, we'd like to find someone to take over his care.

He is very sweet, and very docile. Based on that he needs to be an only pet in a quiet household. Due to how afraid he was of people, and that he's now just begun to trust them, he'd be spooked in a house with a lot of commotion. He likes to chill out and lay next to you while you pet him and feed him treats as he purrs away.

He's a little king and doesn't like dry food AT ALL, preferring cans. He LOVES Whisker Lickins cat treats & honey ham. He doesn't go for bologna! He's a regal kitty for sure.

He's no doubt going to make a fabulous pet!
