@jjeshjod Completely incorrect. The video games were made first. The first Sonic video game was released in 1991, while the first cartoon was made in 1993, and the first comic in 1992.

@Pwnzoar1 Sonic was and still is a cartoon character / comic book. Shadow was introduced into it there. The video games were simply stories made based off of those cartoons and comics.
