Video and title track from the album SAN SIMON by PIKOUL SISTERS, with singers Cecília Fontes and Manuel Brás da Costa. Video location Miramar beach, Portugal, filmed edited and produced by Richard Tomes, featuring PIKOUL SISTERS Marina and Natasha Pikoul. This album is inspired by medieval Galaico-Portuguese poetry.

Our free English translation :

She dreams of endless motion
The coming tide
The troubled oceans
No place to hide
She tries to save her child
From crashing waves
The flood of ages
The end of days

She braves the ocean
A tide of human tears
Confronts emotions
Against her deepest fears
She braves the ocean
Confronts the ocean
All alone

She's praying for an angel
A ray of light
Or a valiant stranger
To make things right
A miracle
A last reprieve
Or she'll single handed
Turn back the sea

She braves the ocean...

The skies will open
And halt the sea
The Gods of mercy
Will hear her plea
No time for sorrow
No dumb dismay
There will be a tomorrow
Another day

She braves the ocean...

  • AlexMcgeryMusic said... Hi!

Veyr beautiful music, with a suitably beautiful video! Coming from a very musically English background I wasn't sure if I would be able to appreciate this, but I certainly was! Although some of the harmonies are a little foreign to me (mainly the modes I think), I found the piece to be very soothing and incredibly well put together. Very good stuff, and I'd be intersted to hear more!

    Keep up the good work!

  • Hey, whoever it is negative flagging any positive comment on this video - why don't you go and get yourself a life, instead of sitting at home all day creating new youtube identities with which to express your bitterness ? Or better still, create something of your own to share. It might help to make you a less of a sad person.
