  • your show rocks

do you have any advise for me. about my 2 yr old filly

  • this is really cool. i am trying to get my 2 yr old rescue filly tonot be so head shy and to give me my space. she wount let you catch her with out food and you have to be sneaky about it. but she is a complete doll.

  • @jhhwingnut unfortunately, since you can't seem to play nice, you have earned the first "blocked user" from my site!!

  • @jhhwingnut and by the way, CA copied me, so I'm not too concerned with what he would or wouldn't agree with!! : )

  • @jhhwingnut Well, think about it for a second. If you are standing in front, or just slightly off center as I do, and you raise your hand with a flag (or anything else) in it over or near the horse's head, why would they run toward you? They wouldn't, they would squirt out to the side. I've done it hundreds of times, and I've never had one run over me if it is done properly. But do be careful if you are a beginner. My timing and expertise is developed from many many years of doing this! : )

  • @jhhwingnut Wingnut, you make a good point. However, if you have followed the steps this far, then your horse, should he/she spook, will spook away from you or around you. If your horse spooks 'into' you, you have not developed the level of respect in your horse you should have by this stage.

  • i really enjoy watching these will you be making more videos?

  • Thanks for posting this vid. I was just trying to get my horse to switch direction and run around me on a lead line. And i was having some trouble getting him doing it. Thanks, Pretty horse too! :D Great vid!
