Igloo Demonstration Best 01-16-09 (5)

Video (part 5) shows our family Igloo. You will see my 4 and a half year old son utilizing the climbing knobs and moving all around the sides and top of the igloo. Multiple short videos discuss the design and building of the igloo and demonstrating the igloo's strength and creativity. Igloo construction began during first snow in late November 2008. I built it alone so it took a while. I lost 10 pounds while building it. I directly followed the Igloo design discussed here: http://www.architectureweek.com/2007/1212/building_1-1.html - This was simply the best design explanation and illustration I could find ANYWHERE. It survived two periods of warming and intense rain. The climbing pegs had to be re-built and it has undergone continuous modification. Traverse City, Michigan, USA January, 2009
