@riwired how?

Absolutely! The US must start to have a more balanced policy toward the middle-east. The idea you can just arm one of the protaganists to the teeth and give them carte-blanche support is short-sighted at the least and has proved to be very destructive to any chance of real peace. I'm glad someone is at last questioning the validity of US policy for decades now and taking a more balanced look at the issues.

this is so frustrating. i love Barack but it's sad how he has to pander to such a controlling entity to stay alive politically. what's happening right now to the Palestinian people is a sham that is sanctioned by the most powerful nations on earth. it is aparthide, it it genocide, and it is our living hypocrisy. and worst of all to speak out against it is to be accused (wrongly) of anti-antisemitism.
it is a sham and an injustice.

Hussein could have said the same thing about the United States. Our government says they're against terrorism, but they are terrorists themselves. Right now there is no good guy or bad guy...it's just a big tribal conflict.
Obama 2008!!!
"at the point where they recognize Israel and its right to exist"
Wouldn't the Palestinians need some sort of recognized sovereignty of their own in order to do that?
I don't quite understand the situation, but aren't they technically stateless at the moment?

I support Obama but the Palestinians have been the victims of Israeli violence far more times than the other way around. How about a little empathy for them?
