The epic first track from My Dying Bride's classic follow up to Turn Loose the Swans, The Angel and the Dark River (which is, in my opinion, their best album, go buy it NOW!) released on Peaceville Records in 1995.

This melody swings in my mind so many years... maybe when it will be the end of the world, I'll stand at the end of it and sing it...

You can't expect to see him and survive You'll swallow his tongue of thorns His mouth, dripping with flies In his glorious kingdom of fire But I believe he wept I will make them all lie down Down where hope lies dying With lust, you're kicking mankind to death We live and die without hope You tramp us down in a river of death As I stand here now, my heart is black I don't want to die a lonely man This is a weary hour This is a weary hour

I am a big Metal fan, of almost all Metal genres.

But I like Gothic Rock aswell, the Sisters Of Mercy especially.

I do not like sticking to only one music style considering there is so much to explore.

Glad you enjoy this song, Doom Metal at it's best.

While I very much love gothic rock/darkwave music, I have been skeptical about gothic metal kinds. But this song is very good.
